Is this an allergy safety card?
No. This card is a communication aid. It helps you show your food needs in Japanese, but it does not guarantee food safety.
Can restaurants always follow this card?
No. Some restaurants may not be able to confirm ingredients or avoid cross-contact. If they cannot help safely, they may say they cannot serve the dish.
Does this replace asking the staff?
No. Please still ask the staff to confirm ingredients and preparation.
Do I need an app to use the Food Card?
No. You can use it in your browser. After creating a card, you can save it as an image.
Saving images
I can’t save the image on my phone. What should I do?
Press and hold the card image, then choose “Save to Photos” or a similar option. If your browser does not save it, try “Download PNG.” You can also take a screenshot and show that to staff.
Can I share the card by email or message?
We recommend saving the image to your phone first, then sharing the saved image if needed. Some browsers may not share temporary preview images correctly.
